Marissa, the founder of For Sol, created the organization from a deeply personal belief: that community care, sustainability, and wellness should be accessible to everyone. Raised in a Filipino family and inspired by the importance of generosity, resilience, and caring for others, she saw how meaningful support can be: even through something as simple as clothing, hygiene essentials, or a thoughtfully packed care package.

Alongside her husband, who is from India, the vision for For Sol grew into something larger than a local initiative. Coming from two cultures where community, resourcefulness, and family support are deeply valued, they recognized both the abundance of waste in some parts of the world and the lack of access to essentials in others.

Together, they founded For Sol to bridge that gap through sustainable giving, clothing redistribution, wellness support, and community centered aid. Their mission is rooted in the belief that small acts of care can create lasting impact.

The name “For Sol” was inspired by their daughter. It represents hope for a brighter, healthier future. Through local outreach and international support efforts, including communities in the Philippines and India, For Sol aims to build a more compassionate and sustainable world: one built on dignity, care, and connection.
